To tell you the truth, which was not mentioned in this video, the Clear case is ultra slippery. The case looks real good, but returned it as it's very slippery. Went with the Coral color instead which has a much better grip.
The magnet in the case in based on the Magsafe that Apple uses which is a circle of magnets around the wireless charging coil inside the phone. While Android phones do not have magnets in the phone itself, the magnet layout on these cases (and all of the official Made for Google Pixel cases) lines up with the wireless charging coil in the phone so it will help keep the phone aligned on a Magsafe/Qi2 charger.
A bit ugly not having the G logo in the centre of the magsafe ring?! Also I'd prefer a white magsafe ring like it's competitiors. But I do want a slim as possible clear case.
@MichaelsTechTalk I'd buy it if it had the shape of the quake logo though. For some reason I went with the white Pixel 9 pro XL. Now I realize the grey one is the by far best/most premium looking of them. Especially with a semi transparent matte case. To show off the white you really need a clear case which looks a bit cheap. So I can't decide what to buy now. 😅
How does this compare to magbak car which you can stick on any metal object without worrying about it falling. Unfortunately, they didn't make it for P9P XL yet, so I'm looking for options.
Had the Clearcase and didnt like it because it had a slight blue color that looked super cheap to me. The warm taupe on the other hand looks nothing like the pictures online and is more like a mouse grey, looks gorgeous on the Porcelain 9 Pro XL
@MichaelsTechTalk my point exactly, given how many out there are complaining about the lack of a lip around the screen or camera module (or the fact that Mous doesn't provide drop test info for the thin line).
@@lcdat that's the point though. Thin cases aren't meant for protection, they are for the minimalist who doesn't want a bulky case. And they accept they are giving up protection for the thin minimal experience. You can't have it both ways sadly. You want that drop protection, you aren't getting a thin case.
@@MichaelsTechTalk yeah, there have been very few I actually like. I feel like they cheapen the look of premium devices. I have had a few frosted cases and a few clear cases with black side rails and black MagSafe rings that were somewhat nice. I tend to go a little crazy and buy 3-4 for each phone and I usually buy 2 phones every year... I have a problem controlling my must buy new pretty phone every year lol

Was dithering on this case until I found the Magsafe demo you did, thanks for properly testing them!
@@hyperspacey Glad you found it useful!
who else had to look up dithering? hahahahaha! Word of the day my dude.
Just got my pixel 9 pro clear super thin case and it's awesome ! Absolutely love it. Thinnest clear case I have found so far.
Nice 👍
is it slippery?
@xScream yeah it is a bit !but not terrible to hold and use.
This was the perfect video for me. I've been on the fence about what case to get, but I know I wanted a magsafe compatible case. Noice, thank you.
Glad I could help!

Pretty sure i did mention it, but thanks for commenting.
@@MichaelsTechTalksorry,. might have missed it
How do you like the coral color?
Coral is 🔥 but its not red. I like it though@@WildAsDaTaliban
@@mathrania is it more of an orange color? I just want some color on my plain old obsidian pixel.
I went with the clear version 🤗
I'm returning my Mous clear one, it's just too slippery, no texture, hard to hold, doesn't feel good holding. Wished the Google case had magsafe in it
Oh man I just ordered it with my pixel. Still not here yet. But wanted to show that hazel color off
I get it, i felt the same way tbh.
Ipwdaro I actually love it. Fits the phone perfectly and I love the cut outs to actually feel the buttons
IF ONLYYYYYYYYYYYYY
Got Mous clear one and Aramid Fibre ...both with Mag safe and both perfect for my Pixel 9 PRO XL
Ive never owed a magnet case. Are these made specifically for charging, or do they also work with car mounts that use magnets?
The magnet in the case in based on the Magsafe that Apple uses which is a circle of magnets around the wireless charging coil inside the phone.

I got the clear thin case this time for my P9P XL, I had the black thin case for my P8P.
Nice!

Agreed, the G isn't centered where the charging coils are which is a bit triggering for my OCD 😂

Magsafe looks solid 👌Good video mate
Yes dude! 💪
When testing magsafe you should also test if it charges the device as some dont due to the wireless charging coil not being centred on the G logo
All the Magsafe cases shown charge with no issues otherwise i wouldn't review them.

MagBak use a lot more magnets on their cases so it's not a similar experience at all.
They are not that thin .. later cases are more thin, but not sure if they are more or less protective as i just got the mous one
Later case is made from aramid fiber so it would be thinner than this Mous case.
Does the case with Mag Safe have a black frame or does it have the frame clear?
@@shotbymarlozan it’s completely clear.
@@MichaelsTechTalk Cool. Thanks for responding so fast! Although I don't like the cases with Mag Safe, $23 on Amazon right now is tempting.
I have mous super thin.
And it's not super thin. My samsumg s20+ had an actual super thin cover and it was great. Cant find anything similar for Pixel
Check out the thinborne case on the channel.
@@MichaelsTechTalk that's exactly it
How do you like this vs the Thinborne?
I like both equally as good. Different materials give different experiences. I love aramid fiber so the thinborne will always be a favourite.
Will probably get this over the bellroy due to better magnets
Just have to pray i dont drop the phone
Fair enough.
heavy for being so thin. That's why i woud want a thin case. Less weight and bulk added to the Massive phone
I get what you're saying, but i think Mous are more referring to it being thinner than their other cases.
hows the wireless charging
It works well.
The coils on the XL are lower than the Google logo
@@anonyboi769 hearing a lot of issues with magssfe charging

Yeah the slippery feeling of the clear case wasn't a vibe for me personally.
It's nice but, if you're looking for real protection, you are much better off with the Clarity 2.0 series.
People who buy thin cases are buying them for the thinness, not protection.

These are nice I like mous
Indeed it is!
But just know the magsafe in not set up properly
??
Clear cases suck. Thinborne aramid fiber MagSafe case is the best thin case
They are an aquired taste for sure..
